I’ve been using the Erin Condren Daily Duo religiously since it came out in mid-May and since then I’ve been thinking of approximately seven million different ways to use the Monthly Planner. As I focus really on the day to day in my daily duo, I wanted something more broad and higher level for my content planning for my YouTube and Blog plans!

If you’ve never used Erin Condren products, I would highly recommend either starting with this or a LifePlanner. I currently use a Daily Duo daily LifePlanner, but also use an Hourly LifePlanner. [Make sure to check out my Instagram or YouTube for tons of content on the LifePlanner!]
Ways to Use the Monthly Planner
There are so many awesome ways to use the monthly planner – from a budget planner, to a family planner, to a work planner. It is such a great way to supplement your LifePlanner.
How I’m Using Mine
Since starting my YouTube channel, I have been looking for a way to be way more organized. I thought using the planner as a dedicated YouTube/Content Planner would be the best option! So let’s jump into how I’m using it:
Year at a Glance:
First up in the planner is the Year at a Glance Page. In my LifePlanner I plan on using that for memory keeping [using my HP Sprocket!], but for this planner I decided to use the Year at a Glance to do a high level stats page – including things like views, subscribers, etc. I thought it would be nice to see everything at a glance over the year to look back on.
To mark the months, I used the monthly stickers from the Designer Monthly Sticker Book Edition 5 for the month names. I love that they are all different colors – it just looks beautiful!
I decorated the top and bottom of the pages with the sticker sheet that matches the cover of my planner – that watercolor makes my heart sing!
For a monthly kit, I opted to use a sticker kit from LaTruce Papier for the monthly pages for July. I plan on using the monthly view to list out all the videos I plan on publishing that month. The dashboard page will be used to capture the month’s statistics, goals and favorites [for my new monthly favorites videos!].
For a checklist, I used the full notes sticker from Simply Smith Stickers to track videos, any deadlines they have, and places to check off film, edit, upload and instagram sharing! I was going to create a checklist myself, but the sticker is so much neater. [If you use code LARA20, you get 20% off on your order and if you mention my name “Lara Orndorff” in the notes you get my exclusive sampler!]
I then broke up the remainder of the pages to be weekly brain dumps! I just wanted somewhere where I could take notes, write ideas and brainstorm.
The Monthly Planner is perfect for my content planning and I’d love to know what you’d use yours for in the comments!
